We are an open platform where anyone who has published a contribution might become a member after the green light of the Board. Normally the Board will accept new members by default, but they reserve themselves the right of refusing. The reason for this must be motivated and include prior knowledge of non-tolerated behavior such as harassement, discrimination, or scientific fraud, to cite a few.
AlgoQuirks is steered by a board committe with specific responsabilities, including ensuring the scientific focus and independence of the platform, and taking decision that imply its present and future. The board is made of three persons and every year all the members vote to renew it. The vote is anonymous and organized by an independent referee.
In order to prevent that a group of members take over the Board and steers the future of AlgoQuirks towards a direction which opposes the scientific method, the reproducibility principles, or its main focus with side interests, there is a Director or main responsible who might decide to dissolve the platform if it greatly deviates from its foundational principles.
